Heat wave fishing

It’s been a while since I’ve posted. Been fishing almost every day for the last 21 days (tired but quite happy too!). We are in the middle of a heat wave right now, but the fishing has really been excellent! the last 2 days have been in the high 90′s with bright blue skies, yet the smallmouth fishing was off the charts. Especially in the morning. Click on the right photo of Eric from Philly. That is one BIG smallie!!! As a bonus, the northern pike are really starting to move shallow too. The last five trips we’ve managed a quite a few over 10 pounds and one over 15. Not bad for this time of year. Rumor has it that Labor day is bringing a storm and a cold front. That should be interesting.
